about
Raw garage rock and roll with that distinct Aussie sound is what The Coalminers Sect deal in.
Their new single stomps with a primal soup full of fuzz, Hammond and harp on a cover of The Troggs classic “I Want You”. Its raw power received some final sweetening and flourishes from Perth pop production maestro, Joe Algeri, who now unleashes it onto the world 6 November.
The Coalminers have dealt in the rawer side of rock and roll since their debut self produced album in 2010, with a pedigree from Perth rock greats like The Volcanics, Three Orange Whips, Jack & the Beanstalk, Loose Unit and Superscope. After recent line up changes the band are settled in and ready to roll with an EP soon on it’s way in 2016.

I want you, I said, I want you
I can't stand it alone on my own
I want you
I need you, I said, I need you
And I hope that you need me too
I want you
I want you, I said, I want you
I can't stand it alone on my own
I want you
I need you, I said, I need you
And I hope that you need me too
I want you, oh
